Day the Lions RoarFebruary 24, 2008The Meriden Lions Club will be holding their tenth annual live, call in Public TV Auction, "The Day the Lions Roar" on Sunday, February 24, 2008. The Meriden Lions solicit various items to be auctioned from local businesses and individuals, and field call in bids while promoting the donors in the process. We raise money for our charitable endeavors while our local business donor's products and services are promoted. The event is also supported by corporate sponsors who are recognized with commercial spots (also produced by Lions Club Members). Last year we auctioned over 100 items and had 20 corporate sponsors, raising nearly $12,000 for our charitable work. Look for us on February 24, 2008 on Cox Public TV, and call in to bid on great items like trips, sporting goods, tools, jewelry, and dinners.
